Part of my process is to look around me, studying nature, the built environment, people, and waiting for that special moment, captured through the lenses of my camera. I spend extended period of time to explore and discover new environments, in nearby surrounding or further afield. It is through that process of intimate discovery that I identify the subject matter and the subject I wish to emphasise. I am always fascinated by the powerful message a photograph can transcendent and I envision to capture moments and spaces that other people overlook. I am constantly on the lookout for new ideas and innovations. Like Don McCullin once said “Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.” I cannot agree more.
